User box permissions
Types of users
Users of various levels can use this machine. Other than machine administrators, user box administrators can
use User Box functions. The following types of users can access the various user boxes.

Detail
To log on as the user box administrator, type "boxadmin" as the user name for user authentication and
type the password specified in "User Box Administrator Setting" on page 7-26.
Public user boxes and personal/group user boxes
The operations indicated below can be performed with public user boxes, which can be accessed by all
users, and with personal/group user boxes, which can only be accessed by specific users.
*1 The operations can be performed only on user boxes created by the registered user.
*2 User box administrators and administrators can perform operations without entering the password, even
if a password has been set for the user box.
Type
Description
Public user
This user has access when user authentication settings have not been applied.
Registered user
These user are registered by the administrator when user authentication settings have
been applied.
User box administrator
This user can log on as a box administrator when user authentication settings have
been applied. This user can access all user boxes, regardless of whether a password
has been specified.
Administrator
This user can manage the machine. This user can create, change or delete any user
box, regardless of whether a password has been specified.
