4 Setting up the printer
Use the printer driver to change the settings of the printer. These settings
are, for example resolution, paper size or number of copies. You can
change the settings directly in the printer driver or in the print menu of your
application.

Note
For some software settings it is important that they match the
hardware settings of the printer. Check the settings if error messages
are displayed in the printers display.
4.1 Changing the settings using the software
Most of the settings can be made from your application (text editor). If you
change the settings in the application, the changes will override the
settings made in the printer driver in most cases. Here only the settings
made in the printer driver are described. For information about the special
functions of your application, please refer to the application manual.
