The default value depends on print mode and media type. The range is between 200-300%.

Example: If Toner-Limit is equal to 100% and input color is 100% / 100% / 100% / 100% (CMYK) the total area

coverage would be 400 % which is not printable.

If Total Toner-Limit is set to 280% then the resulting area coverage would be 70% / 70% / 70% / 70%. However, if

an input color is 100% Cyan, it would result in 100% area coverage of the Cyan plane.

Gamma-Correction

The Gamma-Correction value is used to roughly linearize the printing process, which means that the graduation

should meet the visual perception. A refinement of the linearization could be done on the Linearization Tab.

The default value depends on print mode and media type.

Linearization

[This function is only available for KC80 and KIP C7800]

The printing process cannot be linearized accurately via the Gamma-Correction value. To enhance accuracy

linearization should be performed.

The default value depends on print mode and media type.

Because these values and their resulting curves differ between machines it is highly recommended to do a

linearization.
