MODULE

Printing From the IC-301 Print
Controller

Introduction

In this module, you will practice how to print and reprint jobs from the IC-301 print
controller.

The basic workflow of printing a job from the IC-301 print controller consists of
three main stages:

Importing and submitting the job: When page-description language (PDL) files,
such as a PostScript or PDF file, are created on computers that are not
connected to the IC-301 print controller, or if files are available only on external
media, such as a CD-ROM, you have to import them into the IC-301 print
controller before printing them. You also have to import job files that reside
locally on the color server.

Processing of the job: The file is spooled to the IC-301 print controller, and
processing begins. The processing method reflects the predefined settings in the
file or in the selected network printer.

Printing and storing: The job is printed and then displayed in the Storage
window of the IC-301 print controller for future use, such as reprinting, editing,
or previewing.

The activities in this module include importing and printing a new job, reprinting
jobs, and adjusting several job parameters.
