Reception settings only for the specific caller (Closed Network RX)

Whether or not to use the closed network reception function is set. When the function is valid, password that
is used in closed network reception should be set within 4 digits.

Closed network reception is a function that accepts the communication only from the caller machine that
matches the password.

When closed network reception is set to valid, the password that is set here is verified with the password that
is sent from the caller machine and communication error occurs when password does not match and when
password is not approved.

Closed network reception function: Set password in 4 digits/No*

* is a default value at the time of procurement.

Note

This function can be used only when the recipientfs fax machine is a model that has the password
sending function.

Specifying Closed Network RX setting

Display the Administrator Settings screen as described in "Displaying Administrator Settings screen"
on page 10-3.

Touch [Fax Settings].

Some items may not be displayed according to setting options.

In the Utility mode, the number displayed on button can be entered and selected on the keypad. For
[Fax settings], enter [8] on the keypad.
