2. To adjust the margins size, clear the Maintain proportions check

box.

3. In this example, we will enlarge the size of the chart graphic area. To

do this, we will set the margins size to 10 mm (instead of the default
15 mm).

Note: It is recommended that you use the ruler guides in InDesign
CS3 to define the desired margins size.

4. Now that you have adjusted the margins size, preview your chart again:

a. In the InDesign CS3 page layout, select the chart placeholder box.
b. Click Preview Current Record.
Your chart is displayed in the chart placeholder box. You can adjust
the chart dimensions as necessary.

Adding a legend to the chart

Learn how to add a legend to your chart and adjust the chart graphic
area (the plot area) accordingly.

1. In Darwin Pilot, in the Chart Display Options area, select Legend
2. Select the Show legend check box.
3. In the Location list, you can define the location of the legend in the

chart. In this example, leave the default option, Top Right, as is.

4. Under Tools, click Accept.
5. Open your InDesign CS3 file.
6. On the Variable Elements panel, click Preview Current Record.

The legend appears and overlaps the chart graphic area (the plot area).
