MP3 Player Operation
MP3 music files are digital audio files that are compressed to about 1/10th the size of a CD
recording. As a result, you can compress a CD song that has 50 megabytes into an MP3 that has
only four or five megabytes. This unit can play MP3s directly from files contained on a CD-R/RW
using the MP3 buttons on the receiver (or an optional remote control) as described below.
29. Loading an MP3 Disc
With the label surface facing up, gently insert the disc into the CD slot (29) until the soft-loading
mechanism engages and pulls the disc in. “S--CDP” appears in the display for five seconds, and
the CD icon illuminates and becomes animated. “MP3 T” and the track number momentarily
appear, followed by the ID Tag (if supported). After these initial indications, the track number and
song name alternately appear, with the song name scrolling right to left across the display.
30. Accessing the ID3 Tag
Press DISP (30) to display the ID tag, if supported. The ID tag can specify the Song Name, Artist,
Album, Year and/or Comments. If no ID tag is available, “-NO ID3” will appear in the display
following the Comments.
31. Menu
The menu function is accessed using the “MENU” button (31) (also the AS/PS button). This
function enables the search and/or access of Track Numbers and Directory/Album titles.
Additional presses of the “MENU” button will momentarily access the disc serial number (if
applicable) and display the current Directory/Album title. By using this button, you can quickly
jump to a Directory/Album and navigate that area to locate and play a specific song/track.
32. Enter
The Enter function is accessed using the “ENTER” button (32) (also the BAND button). This
function permits entry to the desired Directory/Album or Track after it has been accessed by the
menu function.

29. Cargando un Disco MP3

Presione DISP (30) para mostrar la etiqueta identificatoria, si el equipo tiene esta función. La etiqueta
identificatoria especifica el Nombre de la Canción, Artista, Álbum, Año y/o Comentarios. Si no hay etiquetas
identificatorias disponibles, "-NO ID3" aparecerá en la pantalla siguiendo los Comentarios.
31. Menú
A la función menú se accede utilizando el botón "MENU" (31) (también el botón AS/PS). Esta función habilita
la búsqueda y/o acceso a Número de Pistas y Títulos de Directorio/Álbum. Al presionar el botón "MENU" más
veces, se accederá por un momento al número de serie del disco (si se puede) y se mostrará el título de
Directorio/Álbum en uso. Utilizando este botón, usted puede saltar rápidamente a un Directorio/Álbum y
navegarlo para localizar y pasar una canción o pista específica.
32. Enter
La función Enter se accede utilizando el botón ENTER" (32) (también el botón BAND). Esta función permite la
entrada a un Directorio/Álbum o Pista específica luego de que fueron seleccionadas por la función menú.

d'un enregistrement CD. Par conséquent vous pouvez comprimer une chanson CD qui a 50 méga octets dans
un MP3 qui n'a que quatre ou cinq octets. La radio peut jouer des MP3s directement depuis des fichiers
contenus sur un CD-R/RW par le biais des boutons MP3 qui figurent sur la radio.
29. Chargement d'un disque MP3
En gardant l'étiquette à l'endroit insérez le disque dans l'encoche CD jusqu'à ce que le mécanisme de
chargement en doux s'engage et le disque est tiré à l'intérieur de l'encoche. Le mot " S-CDP " apparaît sur
l'affichage pendant cinq secondes et l'icône CD s'illumine et devient animé. " MP3 T " et le numéro de la piste
apparaît pendant quelques secondes, suivi par l'onglet ID. Après ces indications initiales, le numéro de la piste
et le nom de la chanson apparaissent alternativement et le nom de la chanson se défile de droite à gauche sur
le panneau d'affichage.
30. Accéder à l'onglet ID3
Appuyez sur DISP (30) pour afficher l'onglet ID3 si soutenu. L'onglet ID peut spécifier le nom de la chanson,
l'artiste, l'album, l'année et/ou des commentaires. Si un onglet ID n'est pas disponible, le mot " Pas d'ID3 " va
apparaître juste après les commentaires.
31. Menu
La fonction menu est accédé en utilisant le bouton Menu (31) (aussi le bouton AS/PS). Cette fonction permet la
recherche et/ou l'accès à des numéros de piste ou des titres Répertoire/Album. En appuyant sur le bouton
Menu vous pouvez accéder au numéro de série du disque. Il affichera aussi le titre Répertoir/Album courant.
En utilisant ce bouton, vous pouvez sauter à un Répertoire/Album et naviguer la zone pour trouver et jouer une
chanson/piste spécifique.
32. Entrer
La fonction Entrer est accédé en utilisant le bouton “ENTER” (32) (aussi le bouton BAND). Cette fonction
permet l'entrée au Directoire/Album ou Piste voulus, après qu'il ait été accédé par la fonction menu.
