CLEANING AND

MAINTENANCE

• Keep the area around the log set clean and clear

of debris.

• Occasionally, you may use a soft bristle brush

to clean logs.

• Once every year a qualified agency or certified

chimney sweep should examine and clean the

venting system of the fireplace.

SERVICE HINTS

When Gas Pressure is Too Low
• pilot will not stay lit
• burners will have delayed ignition
• appliance will not produce specified heat
• propane/LP gas supply may be low
You may feel your gas pressure is too low. If so, con-

tact your local propane/LP or natural gas supplier.

operation, or troubleshooting. If so, contact DESAʼs

Technical Service Department at 1-866-672-6040.

When calling please have your model and serial

numbers of your appliance ready.

• your name and address
• model and serial numbers of your log set
• how log set was malfunctioning
• type of gas used (propane/LP or natural gas)
• purchase date
Usually, we will ask you to return the part to the

factory.
