Extracting the speaking portions of files of spoken-word content [Voice Detect]
NOTE
•
The message [
No file
] appears if you
select a folder that doesn’t contain a
saved file. You must select a folder
containing a file before you can
perform the process.
•
The voice recorder may not be able
to properly extract non-silent portions
from files of non-spoken word
content such as recorded musical
performances.
•
The voice recorder may not be
able to properly extract speaking
portions when they were low in
volume when recorded (level meter
readout of −12 dB or less), or due to
surrounding noise.
•
The time needed for the extraction
process will increase in proportion to
the size of the recorded file. Before
starting extraction, it’s recommended
to charge or replace the batteries to
ensure they will not run out before
the process has finished.
•
Using the [
While recording
] function
will make the batteries deplete more
quickly.
•
[
While recording
] function is only
available when [
Rec Mode
] is set to
[
MP3
] (
