Later it was known as ABAQUS Inc. as in October 2005 Dassault Systèmes purchased ABAQUS, Inc.
The Abaqus series offers three core software products: Abaqus/Standard, Abaqus/Explicit and Abaqus/CAE or Complete Abaqus Environment. Besides recently Abaqus /CFD appeared as a new Abaqus version offering computational fluid dynamics simulation. Each program package with add-in modules meets specialized requirements of the clients.
Abaqus/Standard is a multipurpose traditional finite-element analyzer implying an ideal solution for static, dynamic and thermal model, analyzing both in the time and frequency domain, with a broad range of contact and nonlinear material options. Additional Abaqus/Standard capabilities are associated with design sensitivity analysis, offshore technologies as well as integration with software of other parties.
Abaqus/Explicit offers specialized finite-element analysis with using explicit integration solutions for analyses of multiple manufacturing operations under transient loads.
Abaqus/CAE is the most preferred modeling solution among multiple Abacus consumers for being a complete solution for Abaqus finite element modeling, visualization and process automation.
With increased support for pre-and post-processing provided in Abaqus / CAE , Abaqus/CFD possesses advanced capabilities for parallel simulation gas and hydro-dynamics. This allows to solve a broad range of nonlinear gas hydro-thermal and gas hydro-structural problems.
