Safety Information

! Never use the carrier

or cradle in a vehicle.

They offer no protection

to your child in a crash.
! Do not use the carrier or cradle for

long-term sleeping purposes, like a

crib. Never leave child unattended

when using the cradle or carrier.

Always keep your child in view.
! To reduce the risk of strangulation,

do not place cradle or infant carrier

in any location where there are

cords, such as window blind cords,

drapes, phone cords, etc.
! Strings can cause strangulation.

Do not place items with a string

around your child’s neck, such as

hood strings or pacifier cords. Do

not suspend strings over cradle or

infant carrier or attach strings to

toys.
! This product requires adult assem-

bly. Follow assembly instructions

carefully. If you experience any

difficulties, please contact the

Customer Service Department.
! Discontinue using your cradle

or infant carrier should it become

damaged or broken.

Using the Cradle

! Unlike cribs that have rigid sides,

the cradle has flexible sides. As

a result, the cradle mattress is

specially designed to prevent

suffocation. The cradle mattress

has a solid base, a certain length

and width, and is less than one

inch thick in order to meet safety

standards. Using a thicker or a

different sized mattress may allow

a child’s head to get between the

mattress and the side of the cradle

causing suffocation.
! To help prevent suffocation from

entrapment, USE ONLY THE

MATTRESS PROVIDED BY

GRACO. Never use additional

mattress or padding.
! Discontinue using your cradle

if child weighs over 13 pounds

(5.9 kg), can roll over, or can push

up on hands and knees.

Using the Carrier

! Infants can tip or slide carrier by

their movements or by pushing off

other objects with their feet. If the

carrier tips over, child can suffocate.

If the carrier is too upright, infant's

head may drop forward and cause

breathing problems.
! DO NOT place carrier near the

edge of surfaces such as tables

or counters. To prevent falls, stay

within arm's reach whenever carrier

is not on floor/ground.
! Always place carrier on a firm and

level surface. Never place carrier on

soft or plush surfaces that may

allow carrier and infant to roll over.
! Avoid serious injury from falling or

sliding out. Always properly secure

the seat belt when child is in the

infant carrier.
! Do not use infant carrier if child

weighs over 25 pounds (11.3 kg)

or becomes too active to swing

properly in the carrier.
! Do not use infant carrier in a

shopping cart.
! Do not attempt to adjust handle

while infant carrier is on swing.

Failure to follow these warnings and the assembly instructions could

result in serious injury or death from falls, suffocation or other hazards.

This product includes an infant carrier and cradle

which may be portable or attached to the swing.
