To change the emergency code:

1. With the safe door unlocked, push the "

*

"

key twice. The LED window will display the
word "

PROG ".

2. When the LED window clears, enter the cur-

rent emergency code.

— if the current emergency code is entered

successfully, the LED window will display
the word "

NEW ". Continue to Step 3.

— if the code is not entered correctly, the

word "

Error " will be displayed. Restart the

procedure with

Step 1.

3. After the LED window clears, enter the new

six-digit emergency code. The LED window
will display the word "

AGAIN ".

4. When the LED window clears again, re-enter

the new code.

— if the second entry of the new emergency

code matches the first entry, the LED win-
dow will display the word "

DONE " and this

procedure is complete.

— if the second entry of the new emergency

code does not match the first entry, the
word "

Error " will appear in the LED win-

dow and the previous emergency code will
remain active. Re-start at

Step 1 to change

the current emergency code.

Emergency Code:

NOTICE

If you change the emergency code from

the factory default and forget or misplace

it, you will not be able to reset or change

it. Always record the new emergency code

below, then store these instructions in a

secure location.

batteries

The digital keypad and locking mechanism require
four "AA" batteries to operate. Under normal con-
ditions, new or fully charged batteries should last
approximately one year.

if the batteries have lost their charge and the digi-
tal keypad does not respond, use the safe key to
open the door and replace the batteries.

Note: The emergency code is stored in perma-
nent memory so that, in the event the digital key-
pad loses power, this code will remain the same.

Maintenance

Wipe the surfaces of your safe with a clean,
slightly damp cloth. if the door develops a squeak,
open it and apply a drop or two to the hinge rod
contact points.

Troubleshooting

Problem: The door will not close all the way.

Solution: Make sure there is nothing obstructing

the door. if the locking rods protrude to
the left of the safe door, use the safe
key to fully retract them back into the
door.

Problem: The digital keypad does not respond.

Solution: The batteries may be low or fully dis-

charged. Use the safe key to open the
door and replace the batteries with
new or fully charged ones.

Problem: The personal code does not open the

door.

Solution: Use the safe key or emergency code to

open the door, then follow the

Personal

Code instructions on Page 2 to create
a new personal code.

Problem: The personal and emergency codes

have been forgotten or misplaced.

Solution: Use the safe key to open the door, then

follow the

Personal Code instructions

on

Page 2 to create a new personal

code. The emergency code cannot be
reset or changed if it is forgotten or
misplaced.
