IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Never use appliance without the ceramic pots inserted.

Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as adding refrigerated foods into a
heated pot.

Always use pot holders when removing the glass lid, ceramic pot or moving the
base unit. The oven mittens should be used when handling the pots. The appliance
must not be moved during operation.

To avoid damage or electrical shock, do not fill base unit with liquids.

ADDITIONAL SAFEGUARDS

This appliance is for

HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.

DO NOT OPERATE THE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY DAMAGE OR IF THE

APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS WORKING ENTIRELY.

1) A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) should be used to

reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

2) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may

be used if care is exercised in their use.

3) If a longer detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:

a) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at

least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance; and

b) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or

tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

POLARIZED PLUG

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the
risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If
plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
