Marine Navigation

The GPS 72H can be used for marine

navigation, as either a handheld or a

mounted device.

Mounting the GPS 72H

A marine mount may be included

with your device, or it is available as

an optional accessory.

Hardware Needed for

Installation

Drill
Screwdriver (Phillips or flat)
Three #8 machine bolts with

matching nuts and washers and

a

in. (4 mm) drill bit, or three

#8 self-tapping screws and a

in. (1.5 mm) drill bit.



NOTE: Your choice of fastener

hardware depends on the mounting

surface material.

Installing the Mount in a

Fixed Position

Select a location that provides

optimal viewing and allows easy

access to the keypad. Select a

mounting surface strong enough to

support the weight of the device and

protect it from excessive vibration

or shock.

NOTICE: Do not place the mount

in a location where the device is

exposed to extreme temperature

conditions.
