USING YOUR ELECTRIC KETTLE

IF HEATING ELEMENT DISCOLORS

CORDLESS KETTLE

BEFORE FIRST USE: Fill kettle to MAX indicator on water level window and bring to a
boil until kettle shuts off automatically. Discard water and repeat. Rinse out kettle 2 or 3
times. The kettle is now ready for use.
1. Remove from power base before filling.
2. Fill kettle with required amount of water. Ensure that water level is between MIN and

MAX on the water level indicator. If using the mesh filter, it must be in place.
WARNING: If kettle is overfilled there is a risk that boiling water may spit out of the
spout.

3. Make sure that the lid is in place and the power base is on

a level surface. If lid is not in place, auto shut-off will not operate.

4. Plug into outlet and turn on ( l ).
5. The kettle will switch off (O) automatically when the water has boiled. (Remember,

the surface of the kettle gets hot; take care–only grip the kettle by the handle).

6. After use, unplug kettle and empty.
NOTE: Use water only in the kettle. If used for foods or beverage such as tea or coffee,
the warranty will be voided.

Your cordless kettle has the power supply connected to the power base, eliminating the
need to plug and unplug the cord from the electrical outlet. However, it is always a
good safety practice to unplug the power base when not in use.

• For general operation see “Using Your Electric Kettle.”

• After filling the kettle with water, it should be placed on the base so that it is correctly

engaged.

• After use, the kettle may be left on the base but we recommend you unplug the cord

from the outlet.

It is normal for stainless steel heating elements to discolor. This does not affect the
performance of the kettle. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or cleaners as this may
damage the stainless steel surface.
