Customize Your nüvifone
Locking —prevent the
nüvifone from being used
unless you enter a PIN. Enter
a PIN, and touch OK .
PIN —touch Change to
change your PIN.
Reset Your PIN
If you forget the PIN to unlock your
nüvifone, you can reset the PIN.
nOTE: This process restores all
settings to factory defaults and
deletes all user-entered information.
Items that you have saved on your
device (such as Favorites) are erased.
Map data is not erased. Deleted
information cannot be recovered.
1. Remove the battery and the SIM
card.
2. Reinstall the battery. Your
nüvifone will turn on.
3. Touch OK .
4. Touch Emergency Call .

5. Enter “*GARMIN#1234#” on the
touch keypad.
6. Touch . Your nüvifone will
restart.
You can reinstall your SIM card at
any time.
Change SIM Card
Security Settings
Use these settings to require a PIN
to enable all non-emergency features
of the nüvifone. You can still use
the nüvifone to contact emergency
services without a PIN. You can
remove the SIM card to use the non-
telephone features of the nüvifone.
