6.1 reading a message

Your phone supports two GSM message features:
SMS Messages—If someone sends you a message, your

phone rings or vibrates and displays

Read Now?

. Press

O

to open the message now or

C

to close it.

Your phone stores these messages and displays the

o

.

Cell Broadcast Messages—If your service provider

broadcasts a message, it scrolls across your display. Press

E

to pause it, or press

C

to delete it.

Your phone does not store these messages.

To view a stored SMS message that you received:

When you select a message, press

O

to see your options:

Switch View Displays message text (and closes it).
Delete Message Deletes the message.
Retrieve Numbers Displays the phone numbers in the

message. You can call the numbers or store them.

Reply to Message Creates a reply message.
Return Call Calls the person who sent the message.
Edit Message Lets you edit, send, or store the message.
Go to Next Message Displays the next message.
Delete All Messages Deletes all messages.
Delete Oldest Ten Deletes the ten oldest messages.
