The following table gives details of the audio outputs:

Tape Out Tape recorder output.
To connect to a tape recorder
● Connect the analogue output from the tape recorder to the
Tape 1 input on the integrated amplifier (or another input if
you prefer).
● Connect the Tape Out from the integrated amplifier to the
analogue input on the tape recorder.
To connect to other Meridian 500
Series equipment
● Connect one of the COMMS sockets on the back panel of the
integrated amplifier to one of the COMMS socket on another
500 Series unit, using the 500 comms lead.
The sequence in which you connect the units is not important.

Then configure the units with the following automatic setup
procedure:
● Switch all the units to standby.
● Press Clear on the remote.
Each unit will display:

One unit will then be designated
as the controller, and display:
