Quick reference guide
INTRODUCTION
The Blue Voice is a Bluetooth ® handsfree carkit with TEXT-TO-SPEECH technology:
• Users’ handlings are confirmed by a vocal menu.
• A voice announces the caller’s name or number.
Follow these steps when you use the Blue Voice for the 1st time:
• Place
the battery.
• Load the battery.
• Set the device ON (3).
• Choose / select language (8).
The Blue Voice can be programmed into 5 different languages: English, French, German, Italian and Spanish
(see parts & functions (8) +/- buttons: to choose a language).
• Pair the mobile phone to the Blue Voice (3).
• Send the phonebook memory to the Blue Voice.
PARTS & FUNCTIONS

1. Battery compartment cover
Open the battery compartment and place the battery (see illustration III).
2. USB charging socket (Charging the battery)
The Blue Voice offers 2 charging options:
1. USB
cable (14).
2. Cigarette lighter (13).
Make sure that the Blue Voice is fully charged before using the device.
3. On/Off button (Turning on / Turning off / Pairing / Switching calls from Blue Voice to mobile phone)
- Turning on: Press and hold the On/Off button (3) until you hear “power on” and the blue LED indicator (5) starts
flashing.
- Turning off: Press and hold the On/Off button (3) until you hear “power off” and the red LED indicator (5) lights
up briefly before turning off again.
Attention!
The Blue Voice will also turn off automatically if there has been no Bluetooth
® connection between the
Blue Voice and another mobile device for more than 10 minutes.
- Pairing: Make sure that the Blue Voice is turned off (LED indicator = off). Make sure that the Bluetooth ®
function of your mobile phone is turned on and let your phone search for Bluetooth ® devices. Press and
hold the On/Off button (3) of the Blue Voice until the LED indicator (5) starts flashing by blue and red colours
alternately.
Your mobile phone, which is still in search mode, will show the Blue Voice in the list of found
Bluetooth ® devices. Select the Blue Voice in your mobile phone and enter the PIN code 0000 to pair both
devices. You will hear “pairing phone, please put your phone in pairing mode and enter PIN code 0000”.
The blue LED indicator (5) will start flashing again. You will hear “pairing successful”.
- Switching from Blue Voice to mobile phone: During a conversation, press the On/Off button (3) once to
continue the conversation through your mobile phone.
To continue the conversation through the Blue Voice, press the central button (4).
4. Central button
- Incoming call: Press 1x to answer a call. You will hear “call from”.
- Incoming call: Press and hold (3 sec.) to reject a call. You will hear “reject call succesful”.
- During a conversation: Press 1x to end a call. You will hear “end call”.
- Standby mode: Press 1x to restore the Bluetooth ® connection after it has been broken.
- Standby mode: Press 1x to activate voice dialing.
Attention!
The voice dialing function is only available if it is supported by your mobile phone.
- Standby mode: Press quickly 2x to redial the last dialed number. You will hear “redialing”.
- During a conversation: when you hear a “beep”’ (= 2 nd call) press 1x to answer this call and to put the current
call on hold.
- During a conversation: press & hold (3 sec.) to switch between 2 calls.
- During a 2 nd call: press 1x to end 1 of the 2 calls.
Attention!
Some phones do not support this Bluetooth
® function or need confirmation through the mobile phone
menu!

5. LED indicator
- Red indicator:
•
Flashes in Standby mode: low battery capacity.
• Lights continuously while charging the battery.
• Lights continuously in mute mode.
- Blue indicator:
•
Flashes in Standby mode.
• Lights continuously in privacy mode.
- Red & Blue indicators:
•
Flashes alternately in pairing mode.
6. Microphone
Make sure that the microphone is directed towards your mouth. For optimum performance, the microphone
should be located at a distance of 30-50 cm from the drivers’ mouth. Make sure that there are no obstacles in
front of the microphone of the Blue Voice.

8. (+) and (-) Volume buttons
- Press (+) to increase the volume level.
- Press (-) to decrease the volume level.
- Press (-) for 3 sec. to set the TTS (= Text-To-Speech) function ON or OFF.
- Press (+) for 3 sec. to activate language selection. You will hear “select this language”, “sélectionner la
langue”, “sprache auswählen”, “seleziona la lingua”, “seleccionar lengua”.
- Press (+) & (-) for 3 sec. to delete the phonebook memory.
You will hear “phonebook deleted”.
- Press and hold (+) & (-) for 10 sec. to restore default settings.
You will hear “phonebook deleted”. Press and hold (+) & (-) once again for 3 sec. You will hear “set factory
default complete”.
9. MODE-button (Activate privacy & mute mode)
- Activate privacy mode: Press 1x briefly during a conversation.
Hold the speakerphone against your ear and use the Blue Voice as a normal phone (see illustration V).
- Deactivate privacy mode: Press 1x briefly.
- Turn on mute mode: During a conversation, press and hold for 3 sec. to temporarily turn off the microphone of
the Blue Voice. The red LED indicator (5) will light.
- Turn off mute mode: Press and hold for 3 sec. The blue LED indicator (5) will light and starts flashing.
Sending phonebook memory to your Blue Voice
•
Via Bluetooth ® :
- Press & hold mode-button for 3 sec.
- Blue LED will turn on.
- You will hear “contact saved”. (This will take several minutes.)
• Via your mobile phone:
-
Press & hold mode-button (9) for 6 sec. to enter the phonebook function.
- Select the phonebook data of your mobile phone and send this to the Blue Voice.
- You will hear “contact saved”. (This will take several minutes.)
- Press the central button (4) to end this procedure.
The Blue Voice will automatically re-connect with the previous paired phone.

INLEIDING
De Blue Voice is een Bluetooth ® carkit en bevat TEXT-TO-SPEECH technologie:
• Een stem spreekt de genomen handeling en de te nemen handeling uit.
• Een stem kondigt naam of nummer van inkomende oproep aan.
Volg dit “Blue Voice” stappenplan bij eerste ingebruikname:
• Batterij
plaatsen.
• Batterij laden.
• Toestel aanzetten (3).
• Taalkeuze programmeren (8).
De Blue Voice kan in 5 verschillende talen geprogrammeerd worden: Engels, Frans, Duits, Italiaans en Spaans
(zie onderdelen & functies (8) +/- toetsen om de gewenste taal in te stellen).
• Mobiele telefoon koppelen aan Blue Voice (3).
• Telefoongeheugen zenden naar Blue Voice.
ONDERDELEN & FUNCTIES

1. Batterij-klep
Openen en batterij plaatsen (zie illustratie III).
2. USB oplaadaansluiting (Batterij opladen)
De Blue Voice biedt 2 oplaadmogelijkheden:
1.
Via USB kabel (14).
2. Via sigarenaansteker (13).
Zorg ervoor dat de Blue Voice volledig opgeladen is alvorens deze in gebruik te nemen.
3. Aan/Uit toets (Aanschakelen / Uitschakelen / Koppelen / Omschakelen van Blue Voice naar mobiele
telefoon)
- Aanschakelen: Houd de Aan/Uit toets (3) ingedrukt tot u “power on” hoort en het indicatielampje (5) blauw
knippert.
- Uitschakelen: Houd de Aan/Uit toets (3) ingedrukt tot u “power off” hoort, het indicatielampje (5) even rood
oplicht en vervolgens weer uit gaat.
Let op!
De Blue Voice wordt ook automatisch uitgeschakeld indien er langer dan 10 minuten geen Bluetooth
®
verbinding is tussen de Blue Voice en een ander mobiel toestel.
- Koppelen: Zorg ervoor dat de Blue Voice uitgeschakeld is (indicatielampje = volledig uit). Zorg ervoor dat uw
mobiele telefoon de Bluetooth
® -functie heeft aangeschakeld en laat deze naar Bluetooth ® apparaten zoeken.
Druk op de Aan/Uit toets (3) van de Blue Voice tot het indicatielampje (5) afwisselend blauw en rood gaat
knipperen. Uw mobiele telefoon, die zich nog in zoek-mode bevindt, zal de Blue Voice tonen als gevonden
Bluetooth ® apparaat. Selecteer nu de Blue Voice op uw mobiele telefoon en breng de PIN code 0000 in om de
2 toestellen definitief te koppelen (= pairen). U hoort “pairing phone, please put your phone in pairing mode
and enter PIN code 0000”. Het blauwe indicatielampje (5) zal tenslotte opnieuw knipperen. U hoort “pairing
successful”.
- Omschakelen van Blue Voice naar mobiele telefoon: Druk tijdens het gesprek 1x de Aan/Uit toets (3) in om
het gesprek verder te zetten over uw mobiele telefoon.
Om het gesprek verder te zetten over de Blue Voice, drukt u op de centrale toets (4).
4. Centrale toets
- Bij binnenkomende oproep: 1x drukken om oproep te beantwoorden. U hoort “call from”.
- Bij binnenkomende oproep: lang drukken (3 sec.) om oproep te weigeren. U hoort “reject call successful”.
- Tijdens gesprek: 1x drukken om oproep te beëindigen. U hoort “end call”.
- In Standby mode: 1x drukken om Bluetooth ® verbinding te herstellen nadat deze verbroken was.
- In Standby mode: 1x drukken om voice dialing te activeren.
Let op!
De spraakherkenningfunctie is enkel beschikbaar als uw telefoon deze ondersteunt.
- In Standby mode: 2x snel drukken om laatstgebelde nummer opnieuw op te bellen. U hoort “redialing”.
- Tijdens gesprek: zodra u een bieptoon hoort (= 2 de oproep) drukt u 1x om de 2 de oproep aan te nemen en de
huidige oproep in wacht te zetten.
- Tijdens gesprek: 3 sec. drukken om te wisselen tussen 2 oproepen.
- Tijdens 2 de oproep: 1x drukken om 1 van de 2 oproepen te beëindigen.
Let op!
Sommige telefoons ondersteunen deze functie niet via Bluetooth
® of vragen een bevestiging via het
menu van uw telefoon!
5. Indicatielampje
-
Het rode lampje:
•
Knippert in Standby mode: batterij capaciteit is laag.
• Brandt constant tijdens het opladen van de batterij.
• Brandt constant in mute mode.
- Het blauwe lampje:
•
Knippert in Standby mode.
• Brandt constant in privacy mode.
- Het rode en blauwe lampje:
•
Knipperen afwisselend in pairing mode.
6. Microfoon
Richt de microfoon steeds naar uw mond. Voor een perfecte werking dient de microfoon zich op minstens 30-
50 cm van de mond van de bestuurder te bevinden. Zorg ervoor dat er zich geen objecten bevinden voor de
microfoon van de Blue Voice.
7. Luidspreker
8. (+) en (-) Volumetoetsen
- (+) drukken om het gespreksvolume te verhogen tijdens een gesprek.
- (-) drukken om het gespreksvolume te verlagen tijdens een gesprek.
- (-) 3 sec. drukken om TTS-functie (TEXT-TO-SPEECH) Aan/Uit te zetten.
- (+) 3 sec. drukken om de Blue Voice te programmeren in de gewenste taalkeuze. U hoort “Select this language”,
“Sélectionner la langue”, “Sprache auswählen”, “Seleziona la lingua”, “Seleccionar lengua”.
- (+) & (-) 3 sec. gelijktijdig drukken om het volledige telefoongeheugen te verwijderen. U hoort “phonebook
deleted”.
- (+) & (-) 10 sec. drukken om de standaardinstellingen te activeren. U hoort “phonebook deleted”. Blauwe
indicatielampje (5) gaat snel knipperen. Nogmaals 3 sec. gelijktijdig indrukken, u hoort “set factory default
complete”.
9. MODE-toets (Privacy & mute mode activeren)
- Privacy mode activeren: Tijdens gesprek 1x kort indrukken.
Houd de speakerphone tegen uw oor en gebruik de Blue Voice als gewoon telefoontoestel (zie illustratie V).
- Privacy mode deactiveren: Opnieuw 1x kort indrukken.
- Mute mode aanzetten: Tijdens gesprek gedurende 3 sec. indrukken om de microfoon van de Blue Voice tijdelijk
uit te schakelen. Het indicatielampje (5) wordt rood.
- Mute mode uitzetten: Opnieuw gedurende 3 sec. ingedrukt houden. Het indicatielampje (5) wordt opnieuw
blauw en knippert.
Telefoonboekgeheugen verzenden naar uw Blue Voice
•
Via Bluetooth ® :
- 3 sec. drukken op MODE-toets.
- Blauwe indicatielampje gaat aan.
- U hoort “Contact saved”. (Dit duurt even.)
• Via Mobiele telefoon:
-
6 se c. drukken op de MODE-toets om in de telefoonboekfunctie te komen.
- Selecteer de contactgegevens in de telefoonboek van de mobiele telefoon en stuur dit naar de Blue
Voice.
- U hoort “Contact saved”. (Dit duurt even.)
- Druk op de centrale toets (4) om deze verzendingsprocedure te beëindigen.
Het toestel zoekt automatisch weer verbinding met de laatst gekoppelde telefoon.
