Hi-Fi Stereo Sound with Built-In MTS/SAP Decoder
Record stereo videotapes from stereo sound sources and playback
pre-recorded hi-fi stereo tapes in hi-fi stereo sound using two audio
heads and four video heads. Delivers an excellent 90dB+ dynamic
range–through a stereo-equipped TV or regular TV and stereo hi-fi
home audio system. The built-in MTS/SAP decoder allows reception
and recording of off-air television stereo broadcasts and second
audio program transmissions, where available. Back-up memory logic
retains the cable channel guide map indefinitely even during a power
failure or when the VCR is disconnected from its power source.

4-Head, Double Azimuth Design
Combines direct drive cylinder and capstan motors with precision
digital servo control to produce excellent special effects
reproduction–Still, Slow, and with the appropriate remote control,
Frame Advance, Variable Slow Motion and x2 Play–in both SP
and SLP speeds.
Auto Head Cleaner
Gently, automatically cleans the video heads each time a tape is
inserted or removed to maintain optimum picture performance during
both recording and playback.
Digital Auto Tracking System
When tape playback begins, this feature automatically seeks the
optimum tracking position in the tracking range, and the optimum
audio signal tracking position for clearest picture and sound. Buttons
on the remote transmitter give you manual control should tracking
adjustments be necessary.
Convenience
Front Panel Audio/Video/Game Inputs
Provide added convenience to the user when recording tapes directly
from a camcorder to the VCR. In addition, accessory video equipment
such as a video game or Web browser can be connected for direct
playthrough to the TV set.
Clock/Function Display
Continuously alerts you to all important recording and playback
conditions, correct time, counter position, tape speed,
channel number, etc.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) Onscreen Function Display
Indicates record/playback functions, channel number, clock setting,
date, counter, programming, one-touch record and record standby,
keeping you alert to the status of all features in a heads-up
onscreen display.
Onscreen Real-Time Counter with Time Search
Unlike the 0000 to 9999 tape counters found in standard VCRs, this
unit incorporates a linear, real-time counter which shows elapse time
in hours, minutes, and seconds. Now you can advance or return to
selected tape segments in any time increment you desire.
