7.2

Connection of a Dust Col-
lector

A

Danger!
Wood dust of certain species

(e.g. oak, beech, ash) can cause can-
cer when inhaled: use a dust extrac-
tor

when using the saw in enclosed
spaces;

when using the saw over
extended periods (more than 1/2
hour per day);

when cutting oak, beech or ash.

Dust extractor connection

Connect the dust extractor to the
dust extraction connector (51) at the
rear of the saw.

If necessary, put the dust extraction
adapter (52) on the dust extraction
port (51) and connect the dust
extractor to the dust extraction
adaptor (52).

Installing the Support

1.

Slide support on the left-hand work
support.

2.

Lock support with the thumb screw
(53).

Note:
The support needs to be aligned

before initial operation. To do so, pro-
ceed as described in "Operation", "Sup-
port".

7.4

Installing the Stock Stop

1.

Slide stock stop on the right-hand
work support's rear bar.

2.

Lock stock stop with the thumb
screw (54).

7.5

Installing the Work Sup-
port

Danger!
The sawhead must be locked.

1.

If necessary, adjust the cutting
depth limiter (55) to the maximum
depth of cut.

2.

Lower the sawhead and push the
transport locking pin (56) in.

3.

Loosen the track arm lock screw
(57).

4.

Pull sawhead fully forward.

5.

Tighten the track arm lock screw
(57).

6.

Remove chip bag, if installed.

7.

Lift saw at its front legs, tilt carefully
to the rear and put it down on its
back.

8.

Slide the left-hand work support,
with the support installed, through
the outer holes at the side of the
saw base.

9.

Put clamp (59) over hole in the inner
rib and slide work support through.

10. Tighten the clamp's screw (58).

11. Slide the right-hand work support,

with the stock stop installed, through
the outer holes at the side of the
saw base.

12. Put clamp (59) over hole in the inner

rib and slide work support through.

13. Tighten the clamp's screw (58).

14. Hold saw by its front leg, tilt carefully

forward and put it down.

7.6

Connecting the Chip Bag

Put chip bag on the dust extraction
adapter (make sure the chip bag's
zipper is closed).

Always have the chip bag installed,
if no dust extractor is used.

In addition, wear a dust respirator,
since the chip bag does not collect
the entire saw dust generated.

Empty chip bag periodically. Wear
dust respirator when emptying the
chip bag.

7.7

Installing the
Work Clamp

The work clamp installs in two positions:

For wide workpieces fit the work
clamp in the rear hole (60) of the
saw base.
