playback is paused. (Sound remains muted.)

Press FWD g or REV h repeatedly to select the
required speed.

Slow forward or reverse speed is different
depending on the disc. Approximate speed is
1(1/16), 2(1/8), and 3(1/2).

Press the PLAY button to return to normal
playback speed.

Notes

¡

Slow playback is not available with audio CDs,
Super Audio CD, MP3, WMA.

¡

Reverse slow motion is not available with Video CD.

¡

For DVD Audio discs, slow playback can be done
only for pictures.

¡

Set "STILL MODE" to "FIELD" in the "DISPLAY"
menu if pictures in the pause mode are blurred.

STARTING FROM A DESIRED TRACK

Press the Numeric buttons to enter the
desired track number.

The selected track will be located, and playback will start.

For DVD Videos, pressing the FWD g or REV h
button cycles the playback speed in four steps. In case of
DVD Videos, the sound will mute. Turning on the double-
speed sound in SET UP enables output of sound.

For DVD audios, the playback speed is

Ч2, Ч8 Ч50 and ×100.

In case of DVD Audio discs, the sound will not mute.

For audio CDs and Super Audio CD, the playback
speed is

×16 fixed.

¡

For Video CDs, the playback speed is

Ч2, Ч8 and ×30.

¡

For WMA and MP3, the playback speed is

×8 fixed.

PAGE SELECTION

Some DVD Audio discs that include still images are
provided with a selection of images you can choose from.

DVD-A

You can also press the SEARCH
MODE button, by using the Numeric
buttons to enter the track number.
When the track number is entered in the entry box,
playback of the desired track will start automatically.
Notes

¡

During play, a desired track can be directly searched. To do
so enter the TRACK number with the Numeric buttons.

¡

If the entered TRACK number is not available, the “disable”
symbol appears and the direct search mode is cancelled.

TRICKS WITH THE SKIP BUTTONS (H, G)
If the SKIP button G is pressed during playback or
while playback is paused, the current track will be
skipped and the next track will be played. When the
SKIP button H is pressed once, the top of the
current track will be located for replaying. When the
SKIP button H is pressed again within 2-seconds
after playback begins, the previous track will be located.
