SuperComm 2004

The Motorola Broadband portfolio of consumer solutions leverage the company’s 50-
year heritage and technical leadership in building innovative consumer electronics
devices – making the benefits of that experience directly available to consumers. At
SuperComm 2004 (20-24 June, McCormick Place, Chicago, Booth #21416),
Motorola will demonstrate the following “connected home” products:

Broadband Telephony

Motorola VT1000 Series Voice Terminal
The Motorola VT1000 is a voice over IP (VoIP) solution that simplifies the process of
setting up telephony service through a DSL or cable modem – enabling consumers and
small business owners to use traditional phone handsets to make calls over the
Internet.

The Motorola VT1000 initiates calls using Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) – allowing
multiple service providers to leverage the platform for voice service and, in turn,
providing consumers with a choice of service providers. The Motorola VT1000 supports
two telephone lines and contains two Ethernet ports, one to connect to the subscriber’s
broadband modem (cable or DSL) and another to connect to a home computer.
Features include:

Basic call functionality
Three-way calling
Caller ID
Call forwarding
Voicemail messaging

No additional router or home networking equipment is required.

Motorola Ojo™ Personal Video Phone
Motorola’s unique implementation of advanced telephony, compression, and multi-
media technologies enable Ojo to produce pictures and sound that are true-to-life. The
Ojo experience surpasses previous video telephony attempts by providing high-quality
images without the break-up and distortion normally associated with video phones. Ojo
is designed for residential consumers. It can be used for both IP video calls and PSTN
or VoIP audio calls using a household’s current ten-digit telephone number. Among its
many features are a video and audio answering device, a wireless display unit, a full-
featured cordless handset, an easy-to-use graphical user interface, picture-based caller
ID, and easily accessible video and audio privacy controls. Ojo’s unique industrial
design is both stylish and functional.
