Digital audio outputs

The following table gives details of the digital audio outputs:

MAIN DIGITAL

A digital surround processor or

TAPE DIGITAL

A digital tape recorder, computer

OPTICAL TAPE OUT

A digital recorder with optical input,

such as a MiniDisc recorder.

Digital connections

The digital connections should be made with high-quality 75

screened cable. Suitable cables are available from Meridian. We

do not recommend using audio cables, which do not have

adequate shielding or the correct impedance, or cables intended

for UHF applications, as these do not provide adequate

shielding in the 1–30MHz region.

Optical connections should be made using a suitable optical

fibre supplied by your dealer.

Analogue audio inputs
