Receiving Messages

When you receive a Multimedia Messaging Service
(MMS) message, or text message (SMS), you have two
ways to access the message:

Respond to the message notification that appears
when the message is received.

Access the message later through Messaging.

Message Notifications

When you receive a message, your phone notifies you
with an icon in the notification bar and a notification
tone or vibration.

For information on notification options, see “Setting
Message Notification” on page 71
