Press # in a text entry screen to select an entry mode:
To set your text entry modes, press M in a text entry screen
and select the desired entry mode.
Tip: You may change the text case to all uppercase
characters or all lowercase characters by highlighting the
letter and pressing 0.
iTAP™ mode
Press # in a text entry screen to switch to iTAP mode. iTAP
mode lets you enter words using one keypress per letter.
The iTAP software combines your keypresses into common
words and predicts each word as you enter it.
For example, if you press 7764 , your phone displays
a list of suggestions for words such as prog, proh, and spoi.

Includes iTAP English, Tap Extended, and Tap English.
Numeric
Enter numbers only.
Symbol
Enter symbols only.

tap mode
Press # in a text entry screen and select tap mode.
To enter text in tap mode, press a keypad key repeatedly to
cycle through the letters and number on the key. Repeat this
step to enter each letter.
For example, if you press 8 once, the phone displays:
• If you want a different word (such as Text), continue
pressing keypad keys to enter the remaining
characters.
• If you don’t want to save your text or text edits, press
p to exit without saving.
• Tap Extended mode cycles through additional special
characters and symbols as you repeatedly press a
keypad key.

Press the number keys to enter the numbers you want.
