Nº532 Power Amplifier

Front Panel

The front panel contains one LED and two buttons – Standby and
Power – as shown.

Power Button

Controls the AC power to the input of the amplifier when a power
cord is connected from the electrical outlet to the AC input
connector on the Nº532 rear panel.

When the Power button is pressed to turn on the Nº532, the
amplifier enters either the Standby mode or the Power Save mode,
depending upon the state of the rear panel Power Save Mode
switch.

Standby Button

Places the Nº532 into Standby or Power Save mode, depending
upon the state of the rear panel Power Save Mode switch. Pressing
the button while the amplifier is in Standby or Power Save mode
turns on the amplifier.

Standby mode provides full AC power to the amplifier but mutes
the outputs. Power Save mode powers only the low-voltage power
supply, control circuits, and communication circuits so that only
the nonaudio functionality is available.

Note

When the amplifier enters or exits Power Save mode, there’s an
extended initialization period before the amplifier is fully powered on.
During this period, additional Standby button presses are ignored.
