Using the iHM18

Maintenance

• Place the unit away from sources of direct sunlight or

excessive heat.

• Protect your furniture when placing your unit on a natural

wood and lacquered finish.

• Clean your unit with a soft cloth moistened only with mild

soap and water. Stronger cleaning agents, such as Benzine,
thinner or similar materials can mar the surface.

• Do not mix with used or other battery types/brands
• Replace all batteries at the same time
• Do not open batteries
• Do not dispose of in fire

• Do not heat above 75ºC (167ºF)
• Do not expose contents to water
• Do not charge or recharge
• Do not install backwards

For models that require more than one battery

Thank you for purchasing the iHM18. Designed to work with
your iPad, iPhone, iPod, MP3 player or any audio device, this
system provides high quality portable audio. Please read the
instructions carefully before operating the unit and keep for future
reference.

Installing/Replacing Batteries
1. Slide open and remove the battery compartment door located

on the bottom of the unit.

2. Insert 4 “AA” (LR6) batteries (not included), checking that

the + and – ends of the batteries match the drawing inside
the battery compartment. We recommend the use of alkaline
batteries for longer life.

3. Close the compartment cover.

For Best Performance
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable

batteries.

• Make sure you dispose of batteries properly (see your local

regulations).

• If sound becomes distorted or weak, change the batteries.
• If unit will not be used for some time (30 days +), remove
batteries to avoid potential damage/leakage from batteries.


Listening to an iPod/MP3 player or other audio device
1. Plug the attached audio patchcord located on the back of

the unit into the headphone or Line-out Jack on your iPad,
iPhone,iPod or other audio device.

2. Switch the On/Off switch located on the right side of the unit

to ON. The Power on indicator will light.

3. Turn on your iPod/MP3 player or other audio device, press

play and set desired volume. Place it on the stand if desired.

4. Remember to turn unit and audio device OFF when not in

use to save batteries.

NOTE: A connected iPhone can create audio interference

noise when communicating with a cell tower. Turn
on Airplane mode to disable phone while playing
music.
