Access the setup menu.

Using the Temporary Recording
Function
To play back the previous part of a TV
programme currently watching
(RetroActive Playback)

Search for the playback position, then start
playback.

You can also perform Resuming Playback
[ P59] and One Touch Replay [ P59].
To record the previous part of a TV
programme currently watching
(RetroActive Recording)
While watching a TV broadcast,

Search for the record start point, then set to
pause.

Start recording.

You can also use REC (R) on the unit.

Returns to the on-air screen after a few seconds.

When recording is in progress on the DVD,
temporary recording stops.

Temporary recording data will be automatically
erased, in the following instances.

When the unit is turned off, or after recovering from
a power failure.

When normal recording, timer recording,
RetroActive Recording or digital timer recording is
performed.

When the following setting is changed. ALIVE

When tuner channel setting is performed.
•
When the dubbing screen is displayed.
•
When DV input is selected.
•
When the image output format is switched.
•
When a programme in DV mode is played or
edited.

you are watching TV.
