Installation

1)
Remove endcap
s and slide t
he mounting sleeve of
f
of the chassis. If it is locked into position,
use the
removal
tools (supplie
d
) to disengage it.
2)
Check the dashboar
d
opening size by slid
ing th
e
m
ounting sleeve into it. If the open
ing is not
larg
e
enough, care
fully cut or
file as necessar
y
un
ti
l the slee
ve slides easily into
the opening. Do
no
t
force
th
e
s
leeve
into
the
opening
or
cause
it
to
bend
or
bow
.
Check
that
the
re
will
b
e
suf
ficient
sp
ace behind the
d
ashb
oard for
the ra
dio chassis.
Connect wires pr

to actually inst
alling the
sleeve

ter

connections, turn the
unit o

. If unit does not

erate,

ch
eck
all
wiring
until
the
p
roblem
is
corre
cted.
Once
prop
er
oper
a
tion
is
ach
ieved,
tur
n
of
f ignition switch and pr
oceed
with
final mounting of th
e cha

sis.
4)
Locate the series of bend t
abs
along
the top,
botto
m, and sides of the
m
ountin
g sleeve. With
th
e sleeve fully in
ser
ted into the dash opening, be
nd
tabs outwar
d
so that the sle
e
ve is fir
m
ly
secured
to the dashboar
d
.
5)
Car
e
fully slide the ra
dio into the
m
ountin
g sleeve
making sur
e
it is right side up
until it is fully
seated
and
the spring clip
s lock it into place.
6)
Att

ch one end

the per
forated mounting str
ap (supplied)
to the scre
w
stud on the
rear of the
chassis using the
flang
e
nut pro
v
ided.

Installation
