Troubleshooting

SYMPTOM

Overall floor surface feels cold

after system has been energized

for more than 3 hours.

Overall floor surface feels too

hot when system is energized.

Cable has been damaged.

Floor takes too long to warm up.

POSSIBLE

CAUSE

Set point of heating control

device is too low.

Heating control device not

functioning properly.

Contact Jacuzzi at 1-800-872-

7277 and request a Trouble-

shooting Kit to be sent to your

electrician to locate the damaged

section of cable.

Excessive heat loss due to non-

insulated floor or because located

above and unheated area.

CORRECTIVE

ACTION

Increase the set point of the heat-

ing control device to a comfortable

level.

Reduce set point of the heating

control device to comfortable

level.

A damaged cable can typically

be repaired by removal of only

a few tiles, splicing the cable and

replacing the tiles.

Increase the set point of the heat-

ing control device until the floor

reaches a comfortable level.
Increase the amount of insulation

below the floor where permissible.
Contact the heating control

device manufacturer.
