CAUTION: Additional front ballast may be
needed for transporting rear-mounted
implements. When implement is raised, drive
slowly over rough ground, regardless of how
much ballast is used.

CAUTION: Weights are heavy. Use proper lifting
equipment. Approximate weight of Front
Bumper (A) is : 61 kg (135 lb). Approximate
weight of each Ballast weight (C) is 23 kg (51
lb).

Installing Weights: Upto 8 weights can be installed on the
front bumper of the tractor as per requirement.

1. Install weights in pairs, one on each side of ballast

center (B).

2. To hold weights in place, run retaining bolts (D)

through holes. Tighten to specification.

Ballasting Tractor

Add weight to front end if needed for stability. Heavy
pulling and heavy rear-mounted implements tend to lift
front wheels. Add enough ballast to maintain steering
control and prevent tip-over.

Refer to the implement operator’s manual, along with
“Using Implement Codes” in this section, to determine
the minimum number of front weights that are required
for your tractor model.
