Finalizing/Viewing the Created DVD

Removing/Finalizing the Created Disc

When dubbing is complete, press the Z (eject) button to eject the disc. Then
you can select whether to keep the disc unfinalized (to add videos or photos
later), or to create a completed disc (finalized) (page 66).
For photo DVD, you can select whether to create a slideshow.
According to the following operation, complete creating the disc.

Note

In the following cases, the disc is automatically ejected when dubbing is complete:
• create the AVCHD disc.
• create the video DVD in Full Dubbing mode.
• select “ON” on “Slideshow Creation” in the setup menu, and create the photo DVD.

1

Press the Z (eject) button.

A message asking whether to finalize the disc just recorded on appears.

Hint

This message will not appear when using a DVD+RW disc for dubbing video (except
when dubbing video on a camcorder connected via the USB connector).

2

Select whether to finalize the disc.

For details on finalizing discs, see “What is ‘finalize disc’?” (page 66).

To finalize the disc:
Select “Yes” and press the

(select) button. A confirmation message

will appear, so select “OK” and press the

(select) button again. When

creating a photo DVD, a message asking whether to create a slideshow
appears. Move on to step 3.

To not finalize the disc:
Select “No” and press the

(select) button. The disc will be ejected

without finalization.
