Disc
Labelling a disc
A disc is automatically labelled as its disc type.
You can change the disc name (up to 21 characters).

Insert a disc.

Press SET UP to turn on the Setup Display.

Select
[Disc Info] and press ,.

Select [Disc Name] and press ,.

While [Edit] is selected, press ENTER.
The display for entering characters appears.
To enter characters, see page 32.
Note
Label the disc before you finalize it. Once a disc is
finalized, you cannot change the disc name.
Protecting a Disc
You can protect all titles on the disc to prevent
accidental recording, editing, or erasing.

Insert a disc.

Press SET UP to turn on the Setup Display.

Select
[Disc Info] and press ,.

Select [Protect] and press ,.
5
Select [On] and press ENTER.
To cancel the protection
Repeat the steps above, and select [Off] and press
ENTER in step 5.

Hint
For DVD+RWs and DVD+Rs, you can set protection for
individual titles (page 62).
