A. BATTERY REMOVAL

(Figures 1 & 2)

To remove the batteries for transporting or servicing:

1. Remove Batteries

a. Disconnect the joystick power cable in the rear of the chair.
b. Pull up on both release levers, and tilt the seat forward slowly.
c. Remove the Velcro-attached shroud by lifting up.
d. Unwrap the battery strap; unplug and remove batteries from the chair.
e. Lift batteries using battery handles.

2. Battery Installation

See Section X. Batteries, D for installation and wiring diagram.

Batteries may weigh up to 45 lbs. Care must be taken to avoid injury when lifting
up on battery straps.

B. FOOTPLATE ADJUSTMENT

The single footplate can be adjusted in three different ways: height, length, and angle.

1. Height Adjustment (Figure 3)

(3 possible adjustments):
a. Remove pin (A).
b. Move footplate to desired height and slide it into slot.
c. Re-install pin (A) through desired hole.

2. Length Adjustment (Figure 4)

(4 possible adjustments):
a. Remove pin (B).
b. Move footplate to desired length.
c. Re-install pin (B) through desired hole.

3. Angle Adjustment (Figure 5)

Adjust bolt (C) until desired angle is reached.
