What is CSS (Content Scrambling System)?

The CSS is a copy protection device that prevents the content of
a DVD from being copied into the HDD of the PC as it is, unlike
other media, executable directly from the PC. And it is also a data
decryption system that decrypts the key encryption with the
encrypted title key (of the DVD title) and the player key (of the
DVD player).
