7.11 | Advanced Setup - ROUTING

The Routing Table lets you determine which physical interface address to use for outgoing IP
data grams. If you have more than one router and subnet, you will have to enable the routing
table to allow packets to find the routing path. This allows different subnets to communicate
with each other. The settings in the routing table are used to support static and dynamic
routing functions. RIPv1 is a protocol where the IP address is routed through the Internet.
RIPv2 is an enhanced version of RIP v1 with added features such as Authentication, Routing
Domain, Next Hop Fowarding, and Subnetmask Exchange.

Enable Static Routing by selecting the radio button next to Enable.

• Static Routing: Allows you to specify up to 8 routing rules. You can enter the

destination IP address, subnet mask, gateway, hop for each routing rule, and then
enable or disable the rule by toggling the Enable check box. Once the routing table
settings are configured, click Save.
