Customization options to suit your shooting style
Optional VG-C70AM vertical grip
The VG-C70AM vertical grip offers unparalleled handling
stability and operating ease for vertical-format shooting. It can
hold two InfoLITHIUM (NP-FM500H) batteries, and will automati-
cally switch to the second battery when the first one runs out.
The body of the grip boasts the same rugged yet lightweight
dust- and moisture-resistant* magnesium-alloy construction
as the
's body, and is equipped with a full complement of
buttons and switches for the most essential control functions.
A wide range of customizable settings
The offers an exceptionally wide range of ways in which
you can customize the camera to suit your shooting style.
Up to three combinations of as many as 26 different shooting
parameters can be stored in memory and instantly applied by
setting the mode dial to MR (Memory Recall), and the Cus-
tom (C) button on the back of the camera can be assigned
to open the settings for the function you use most frequently.
In addition, there are 21 different Custom menu items whose
default behavior can be set to suit your preference.
With the vertical grip attached,
vertical-format shooting is as easy
and comfortable as horizontal-for-
mat shooting.
