Troubleshooting

Some problems require that you call your service provider,

but most of the problems you can easily correct yourself.

Before handing your phone in for repair, copy all saved

files, messages and information to another device as content

may be lost during repair.

Gray Menu Options

Gray text indicates a function that is temporarily unavailable.

Since you cannot send themes, pictures and sounds that are

copyright-protected, the

Send

menu may be unavailable.

The Phone is Slow to Respond

Select and delete unwanted content by pressing

and then

restart the phone

% 9 To Turn the Phone On and Off.

No Indication of Charging

When you start charging a battery that is empty or a battery

that has not been used for a long time, it may take up to 30

minutes before the battery icon appears in the screen.

The Phone Cannot be Switched On

Recharge the battery

% 6 To Remove the Cover and Insert

the SIM Card or

% 71 Battery Use and Care.

Charging a Non Sony Ericsson Battery

If the battery you are using is not a Sony Ericsson approved

battery

% 71 Battery Use and Care.

If the setting for screen light is power save, press

to activate the screen for indication of charging.
