Messages Menu

Your phone supports the two GSM message features: Short
Message Services (SMS) and Cell Broadcast.

SMS Messages

These are text messages that are sent specifically to and from
your phone number.

When an SMS message is received, your phone:

1 Makes three short alert tones (depending on the ‘Ring or

Vibrate’ setting).

2 Displays the

o (messages) icon.

3 Stores the message for later viewing, if there is space. If there

is not enough space, the

o icon will flash. One or more

messages must be removed before the message can be stored.

Your Cellular Service Provider will transmit a message for a
limited amount of time. If a memory location is not made
available before the message is removed from the network, then
you will not be able to receive or read it.

4 Message will then be displayed with the prompt; Read

Now?

5 If

O is pressed, the phone will enter the Received Messages

browser and immediately display the new message.

6 If

C is pressed the phone will return to the screen which

was displayed prior to receipt of the message.

7 If any other key is pressed it will perform the function linked

with that key.

8 If no key is pressed the display will time-out after 1 minute and

return to the screen which was displayed prior to receipt of
the message.
