Phone Book Dialling
O

One Touch (Turbo) Dialling

To quickly retrieve and dial a number stored in the first nine
locations of your Phone Book

1

, press and hold the appropriate

digit key. For example, pressing and holding

2 will dial the

number stored in location 2 of your Phone Book.

A

You do not need to press

O to call the number.

By Location

1 Press

Q and a location number. For example Q23

will retrieve the number stored in location 23 of the Phone Book.

If you don’t know the exact location, enter a random location
and then use

< and > to scroll to the number. Location

numbers are from 1 to 255.

2 Press

O to call the number.

By Name

You can also dial a number in the Phone Book associated with a
name entry.

1 Press the Smart button.

2 You can either:

• Press any alphanumeric key (

2.....9) to search on a

specific letter. For example, pressing the

4 key once

displays the first entry beginning with G and pressing it
twice displays the first entry beginning with H. For more
information on entering alphabetic characters, see ‘How to
Enter Alphabetic Characters’ in the What is the Phone
Book?
section. If no entries exist for G or H, the next entry
in the phonelist is displayed.

One-Touch Dial Setting option in the Phone Book menu.

• Scroll through the alphabetically-listed names using either

the volume up/down buttons, or

< and >. To

return to the first entry, press the Smart button again.

3 Press

O to call the number of the selected name.

If you inadvertantly press the Smart button, press and hold
C to exit the Phone Book.

Last Ten Calls

Alternatively, you can retrieve the last number dialled using the
‘Last Ten Calls’ feature in the Phone Book menu.

Calling an Embedded Number in a Message

Details on how to call a number embedded in a message are
given in the Messages Menu section.

International Phone Calls

To make an international phone call press and hold the

0

key. After a couple of seconds the international dialling prefix +
will appear in the display, this allows you to call from any country
without knowing the local international access code.

Now enter the country code, followed by the phone number. The
country code follows the conventional format, 49 for Germany,
44 for the UK, 46 for Sweden, etc.

Just like a conventional international call, remove the leading '0'
of the area code when you dial.

L When in standby mode, press O and scroll through the

numbers. Press

O to make the call.
