1. Is my ceramic tea pot dishwasher safe?
A. No, due to the knuckle guard. The knuckle guard is there to protect your
knuckles from the warmed ceramic tea pot.
2. How long can I leave my tea pot on the warmer plate?
A. Tea should not remain on the warmer plate for more than 2 hours. Tea
can develop a film and bitter taste when warmed for more than 2 hours.
3. What is the capacity of the ceramic tea pot?
A. 15 ounces, which will make three, 5-ounce cups.
4. What is the capacity of the water reservoir?
A. Approximately 15 ounces. Fill your
ceramic tea pot with tap water to about 1” below the rim to make a full pot.
5. How can I make my tea ‘extra hot”?
A. This hot tea maker has been designed to steep tea at a common serving
temperature. Personal taste may vary.
6. How does the steeping lever work?
A. The farther the lever is set to the right, the longer the steeping time.
The lever will allow you to adjust the steeping time from 6 to 8 minutes. Your may
want to adjust the steeping lever to the right when you are steeping herbal teas.
7. How much tea do you use to brew a 15 ounce pot of tea?
A. We recommend between 1-3 tea bags or rounded teaspoons of loose tea.
If you are brewing herbal teas, the amount of tea may need to be increased to
reach a desired strength.
8. What type of filter do I need to use when brewing loose or bagged tea?
