Symptom

Possible Problem Solution

iPod is not installed properly

Remove your iPod from the dock and check for
obstruction on the connectors in the dock and
on your iPod. Then reseat it in the dock.

Please make sure your iPod is working properly
before docking it in the unit. Please refer to your
iPod manual for detail.

If iPod original sound source is poor quality, distortion
and noise are easily noticed with high-power speak-
ers.
Try a different audio source such as a music CD.

If you are using an iPod Shuffle or external sound
source like older generation iPod, try reducing the
output volume on the device itself. Also, try turning
bass boost OFF.

Point the Remote Control toward the IR sensor, within
10 feet of the unit.
Move Remote switch to ON position

Replace with new battery

iPod is locked up/frozen

iPod battery has problem

Sound is distorted

Volume level is set too high

Decrease the unit and/or iPod Shuffle volume

Sound source is distorted

Battery weak

Remote Control is not pointed toward the
IR sensor
Remote On/Off Switch is activated
