Chain moves at
idle speed. 1. Idle speed requires
adjustment.

5. Disengage chain brake.
Chain clatters
or cuts roughly. 1. Chain tension incorrect.

4. Cutters dull, improperly
sharpened, or depth
gauges too high.
5. Sprocket worn.
6. Chain installed
backwards.

bent; rails uneven.

an angle. 1. Cutters damaged on

3. Replace guide bar.

for bar and
chain
lubrication. 1. Oil tank empty.
2. Oil pump or oil filter
clogged.
3. Guide bar oil hole
blocked.
1. Fill oil tank.
2. Contact Sears Service (see back cover).
3. Remove bar and clean.
