Using the Remote Control
The following table describes the buttons on the remote control that are for
more advanced functions.

Button Description
1 VCR/DVD Press to turn on and off the VCR or DVD player.
2 MUTING Press to mute the sound. Press again or press VOL + to
restore the sound.
3 WIDE MODE Press to step through the wide screen modes: Wide Zoom,
Normal, Full and Zoom . For details, see “Using Wide
Screen Mode” on page 54.
4 PICTURE
MODE Press repeatedly to step through the available video picture
modes:
Vivid, Standard and Pro Mode . Also available in
the Video menu. For details, see “Selecting Video Options”
on page 69.
5 JUMP Press to jump back and forth between two channels. The
LCD projection TV alternates between the current channel
and the last channel that was selected.
6 FAVORITES Displays the Favorite Channels list. For details, see “Using
Favorite Channels” on page 49.
7 V / v / B / b When the menu is displayed, move the on-screen cursor.
8 FUNCTION Select the equipment (TV, SAT/CABLE, VCR/DVD) that
you want to operate.
9 X / x / m / B /
M / z
X: Pause
x: Stop
m: Rewind
B: Play
M: Fast-Forward
z: Record by pressing z and B
q; Turns on/off Twin View. For details, see “Using Twin
View™” on page 50.
qa FREEZE Freezes the window picture. Press again to restore the
picture.
qs VOL +/– Adjusts the volume.
