Tone length setting.

The tone length setting enables you to select short or long

DTMF (dual-tone multi-frequency) tones. DTMF tones are

what is sent by your phone to access tele-services (such as

a bank account). The system used by the bank or other

service determines if you need short or long DTMF. If the

service is digital (which most are these days) short DTMF

will almost always work. However, some new systems and

almost all older (analog) systems require you to use long

DTMF tones.

To set tone length:

1. Press to display the Main Menu.

2. Press for Sounds.

3. Press for Tone Length.

4. Press the scroll keys to toggle between Short and Long.

5. When the desired option displays, press to save

the setting.

Alerts settings.

The alerts settings allow you to turn the Minute Beep and

Service Alert Tones on and off.

The Minute Beep sounds an alert 10 seconds before every

elapsed minute during an incoming or outgoing call, when

set.

Service alerts include audible alert tones that sound when:

The phone experiences a dropped call or a failed call.

The phone enters a new service area.
