Section 11: Settings

This section explains Settings for customizing your device.

Quick Settings

To quickly find and configure often-used settings, use Quick
Settings, available from the System bar.

1.

Touch the right side of the System bar, then touch

Settings.

Configure these settings:

• Airplane mode: Turn Airplane mode ON or OFF. When ON, all your

device’s wireless connections are disabled.

• Wi-Fi: Turn Wi-Fi service ON or OFF. When Wi-Fi is ON, you can

connect to Wi-Fi networks.

• Auto-rotate screen: Turn automatic screen rotations ON or Off.

When ON, the screen automatically updates when you rotate the
device.

• Brightness: Touch and drag the slider to set screen brightness, or

touch AUTO for automatic brightness adjustment.

• Notifications: Turn all alerts ON or OFF.

• Settings: Access all Settings.

Wireless & networks

Control your device’s wireless connections.

Airplane mode

When airplane mode is On, all your device’s wireless connections
are disabled, and you cannot make or receive calls or messages
or connect to networks. While in airplane mode, you can use
other features of your device, such as playing music, watching
downloaded videos, or other applications.

From the Home screen, touch

Touch Airplane mode to turn it On or Off.

Tip: You can quickly access Airplane mode from any screen: press and hold

the

Power/Lock Key, then touch Airplane mode.
