Quick reference for Remote Commander

Note
The remote control of the unit employs
command signals in common with other
Sony DVD products.
Thus, depending on the button, other Sony
DVD products may respond.

Tip
Shaded parts buttons are affected by the
COMMAND MODE switch. Descriptions
in italic refer to the TV setting of the
switch.

A Turns the TV on and off.
B Sets the system to turn off at a

preset time.

C Changes the input mode of the

TV.

D Selects program or shuffle play

mode.

E Press to store a preset station.
F Disc: Displays the “REPEAT”

display on the TV screen.
Radio: Switches monaural or
stereo of FM stereo reception.

G Press to return to the

Continuous play, etc.

H Changes the sound while

playing a DVD or VIDEO CD.

I Changes the angles when

playing a DVD.

J Displays the ”SUBTITLE“

menu in the Control Menu
display.

K Adjust the SYSTEM volume.

TV : Adjust the TV volume.

M Plays a disc.
N Displays the title menu on the

TV screen.

O Displays the Control Menu

P Selects and executes the items

or settings.

Q Displays the setup display on

the TV screen to set or adjust
the items.

R Turns on and off the power of

the system.

S Switches the item displayed on

the front panel display.

T Bass sound is effectively

reinforced.

U Mutes the sound.
V Makes sound clear at low

volume.

W Press to change “A. F. D.

AUTO” directly.

X Selects the sound field.
Y Selects the items of settings.

TV: Selects channel numbers.*

Z Selects the component you

want to use.

Selects AM or FM band.

Executes the items or settings.
TV : Press after selecting a
channel number

Switches the TV’s input source
between the TV and SYSTEM.

m/M (SCAN) : Locate a
point while monitoring the
picture while playing disc.

SLOW : Play a disc in

slow motion in the pause mode.
TUNING –/+ : Scan all
available radio stations.

Stops playing a disc.

Pauses playing a disc.

Displays the DVD menu on the
TV screen.
MP3/JPEG: Select albums

Press to return to the previously
selected screen, etc.

Changes the brightness of the
front panel display by two
steps.

* Depending on the TV manufacture, the

following method works. For double-
digit number, press -/-- first and then
number. (For example, for channel 25,
press -/--, then 2 and 5.)
