Menu 3-5
This menu enables or disables the phone sounds when
it is switched on or off.
The following options are available:
On On: The phone sounds when it is switched on, and
when switched off.
Off On: The phone sounds when it is switched off and
does not sound when switched on.
On Off: The phone sounds when it is switched on and
does not sound when switched off.
Off Off: Neither does the phone sound when it is
switched on nor off.

You can select how the phone uses the LCD
backlight. The following options are available.
10 SECONDS: The backlight comes on when you press
a key or receive a call and switches off
10 seconds after the last key is pressed.
30 SECONDS: The backlight comes on when you press
a key or receive a call and switches off
30 seconds after the last key is pressed.
OFF: The backlight is not used.

This menu allows you to set a greeting message to be
displayed in Standby mode. It is preset to

can change the greeting message according to your own
preference.
1. If necessary, clear the old message by pressing
repeatedly.
2. Enter your personal greeting up to 12 characters by
using the alphanumeric keys. For more information on
entering letters, refer to page 44.
3. When entering is completed, press to save your
greeting.
