Thank you for purchasing the Sony Mobile Color Monitor.
•This unit lets you enjoy twin monitors by using an optional Mobile Color TV (XTL-610E/XTL-6100).
•The low reflection liquid crystal panel reduces the glare from outside lighting sources.

Precautions
If your car was parked in direct sunlight resulting
in a considerable rise in temperature inside the car,
allow the unit to cool off before operating it.
If you have any questions or problems concerning
your unit that are not covered in this manual,
please consult your nearest Sony dealer.

Si aparca el automóvil bajo la luz solar directa y la
temperatura en el interior del mismo aumenta de
manera considerable, deje que la unidad se enfríe
antes de utilizarla.

Sonnenlicht parken, kann die Temperatur im
Wageninneren erheblich ansteigen. Lassen Sie das
Gerät in diesem Fall etwas abkühlen, bevor Sie es
einschalten.
Sollten an Ihrem Gerät Probleme auftreten oder
sollten Sie Fragen haben, auf die in dieser
Anleitung nicht eingegangen wird, wenden Sie sich

Additional Information
About the liquid crystal display (LCD) panel
•Do not press on the LCD panel on the monitor
unit as doing so can distort the picture or cause a
malfunction. The picture may become unclear or
it may damage the LCD panel.
•Notes on cleaning
— Clean the LCD panel with a slightly damp, soft
cloth. Use mild household detergent.
— Do not use solvents such as benzine, thinner,
commercially available cleaners or antistatic
spray.
•Do not use this unit in temperatures under 5 °C
or over 45 °C.
•If your car was parked in a cold or hot place, the
picture may not be clear. The monitor is not
damaged. The picture will become clear after the
temperature in your car becomes normal.
Some stationary blue or red dots may appear on
the monitor.
These are called bright spots, and can happen with
any LCD.
The LCD panel is highly sophisticated, and more
than 99.99 % of the segments used in the panel are
flawless. However, there is a possibility that less
than 0.01 % of the segments are defective and may
not light up properly. However, these segments
will not interfere with your viewing.

•No presione el panel LCD del monitor, ya que
puede distorsionar la imagen o provocar fallos de
funcionamiento. Es posible que la imagen pierda
nitidez o que se dañe el panel LCD.
•Notas sobre la limpieza
— Limpie el panel LCD con un paño suave
ligeramente humedecido. Utilice detergente
doméstico poco concentrado.
— No utilice disolventes como bencina,
diluyentes, productos de limpieza disponibles
en el mercado o pulverizadores antiestáticos.
•No utilice esta unidad a temperaturas inferiores a
5 °C o superiores a 45 °C.
•Si ha aparcado el automóvil en un lugar frío o
cálido, es posible que la imagen no aparezca con
nitidez. Esto no se debe a que el monitor esté
dañado; la imagen volverá a verse con nitidez
una vez que la temperatura dentro del automóvil
sea normal.
Es posible que aparezcan puntos azules o rojos fijos
en el monitor.
Dichos puntos se denominan puntos brillantes, y
pueden producirse en cualquier LCD.
El panel LCD es muy sofisticado, y más del 99,99 %
de los segmentos utilizados en dicho panel carecen
de fallos. No obstante, existe la posibilidad de que
menos del 0,01 % de los segmentos sean
defectuosos y no se iluminen correctamente. Sin
embargo, dichos segmentos no afectarán a la
visualización.

kommen. Das Bild kann unscharf werden, oder
der LCD-Bildschirm kann beschädigt werden.
•Hinweise zur Reinigung
— Reinigen Sie den LCD-Bildschirm mit einem
leicht angefeuchteten, weichen Tuch.
Verwenden Sie einen milden
Haushaltsreiniger.
— Verwenden Sie keine Lösungsmittel wie
Benzin oder Verdünner und keine
handelsüblichen Reinigungsmittel oder
Antistatik-Sprays.
•Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht bei Temperaturen
unter 5 °C oder über 45 °C.
•Wenn Ihr Auto in sehr warmer oder sehr kalter
Umgebung geparkt war, ist das Bild unter
Umständen verschwommen. Das ist keine
Fehlfunktion des Monitors. Sobald sich die
Temperatur im Wageninneren normalisiert, wird
auch das Bild wieder scharf.
Auf dem Monitor können unbewegliche blaue oder
rote Punkte erscheinen.
Solche sogenannten Lichtpunkte können bei allen
LCD-Bildschirmen auftreten.
Der LCD-Bildschirm ist ein hochmodernes,
technisches Gerät. Der Anteil der korrekt
angezeigten, effektiven Bildpunkte liegt bei über
99,99 %. Es besteht jedoch die Möglichkeit, daß bis
zu 0,01 % der Bildpunkte ausfallen und nicht
korrekt angezeigt werden. Diese Ausfälle
beeinträchtigen die Bildqualität jedoch nicht.

Preventing accidents
The TV/video pictures appear only after you
park the car and set the parking brake.
When the car starts moving, the TV/video
pictures automatically disappear for safety
reasons, after displaying the following caution for
5 seconds.
Do not operate equipment connected to the TV
tuner unit (XTL-610E/XTL-6100) or watch the
monitor while driving. You may cause a traffic
accident if your attention is distracted by the
monitor.
Comply with the Road Traffic Laws in your
country.

Las imágenes de TV/vídeo aparecerán sólo una
vez que haya aparcado el automóvil y activado el
freno de estacionamiento.
Cuando el automóvil se pone en movimiento, las
imágenes de TV/vídeo desaparecen
automáticamente por razones de seguridad,
después de mostrar el siguiente aviso durante 5
segundos.
No emplee equipos conectados a la unidad de
sintonización de TV (XTL-610E/XTL-6100) ni mire
al monitor mientras conduce. Si éste distrae su
atención, puede provocar un accidente de tráfico.
Cumpla con las leyes de tráfico de su país.

Unfällen
Das Fernseh- bzw. Videobild erscheint erst,
nachdem Sie das Fahrzeug geparkt und die
Parkbremse betätigt haben.
Sobald sich das Fahrzeug in Bewegung setzt, wird
das Fernseh- bzw. Videobild aus
Sicherheitsgründen automatisch ausgeblendet.
Zuvor wird 5 Sekunden lang die folgende
Warnung angezeigt.
Bedienen Sie während der Fahrt nicht die an den
Fernsehtuner (XTL-610E/XTL-6100)
angeschlossenen Geräte, und sehen Sie nicht auf
den Monitor. Wenn Sie sich von dem Bild auf dem
Monitor ablenken lassen, besteht Unfallgefahr!
Beachten Sie auch das Straßenverkehrsgesetz in
Ihrem Land.
